Chic Studios NYC - Studio of Makeup Artistry opened it's doors in New York City at the beginning of 2009 as a Makeup Artistry studio and was designed to teach & educate aspiring (and established!) artists.

The Director and passionate makeup artist, Amy Nicole,  found a gap in adequate training programs in New York for aspiring and working makeup artists, so she began fine-tuning an intensive and specialized curriculum designed to educate professional makeup artists looking to pursue career and advance their skills in the industry. With that, Chic Studios developed several curriculums to educate the students in the following areas:

*Coming January / February 2011! "Out of Kit" SPX (25 hours),  which is a special effects course that is designed to focus on the techniques of advanced skills, such as bruising, burns, facial hair, tattoos & coverage, color theory, and more.

We are proud to say that our graduates get the "Chic" treatment -- the most comprehensive makeup curriculum, experienced instructors, a staff that genuinely care about their future, career counseling, access to exclusive alumni events, makeup discounts, and continued support even after the last day of class!

Director Amy Nicole has invested over a decade in the beauty industry, beginning her career in Canada as a freelance artist, esthetician and business graduate.  Amy has been blessed to work in all facets of the industry, from editorial (working with magazines and on campaigns) to runway (New York & LA Fashion Week), bridal & private client/celebrities, and much more!

Chic Studios NYC- Studio of Makeup Artistry is honored to reside in one of the hippest areas of New York City, a cornerstone of art and beauty along the Brooklyn waterfront, in DUMBO, Brooklyn.
