Chic Studios NYC - School of Makeup Artistry is the newest addition to the chic studios brand, developed in 2005 by Director and Makeup Artist Amy Nicole. Amy has invested nearly a decade in the beauty industry as a professional makeup artist, esthetician, and business owner. Over the years, Amy has been allotted the opportunity to work with some of the industries most influential leaders, and given amazing opportunities to work with Celebrity clients, as she has been based in Los Angeles, and currently New York City.

Amy has dedicated her career to the Fashion & Beauty industry, and has worked on Editorials for Print, Fashion Shows, Commercials, Personal Clients, and much more. Amy’s work has been featured within these industries with fashion collections such as BBlessing based in NYC, New York Fashion Week, Lucid Magazine in Los Angeles, Avenue Magazine, Calgary Herald, as well as television stations CFCN and City TV and Canadian fashion magazines Sweetspot, Flare, and Lou Lou. With a passion for makeup, fashion, and beauty, the concept for chic studios was born.

Chic Studios Past…

Chic was located in Calgary, Alberta, in well-known fashion strip Mount Royal Plaza, a trendy area of the city that showcases some of the city’s best retail shops and boutiques. It was there, that Chic Studios emerged as a fashion-forward, beauty studio featuring, makeup courses, and modern beauty services ranging from Lash Extensions and Sunless Spray Tanning to European Facials and Polished Pedicures. In 2007 Chic Studios made a mark in Los Angeles, and focused on makeup & beauty services to accommodate the needs of personal clients, as well as makeup training.

Chic Studios Present…

In January of 2009, Chic Studios planted its roots in New York City, where Chic Studios NYC - School of Makeup Artistry opened its doors. Chic found it’s home in the hippest area of New York City, a cornerstone of art and beauty, along the Brooklyn waterfront. DUMBO, Brooklyn.
