We love Fashion Week because it allows to us to travel all over the world and get a glimpse at trends across the globe! We all know French women have that….je ne sais quoi, that extra something chic and alluring. Here are our top beauty trends from the Paris S/S 2014 runway.

Models at Jean Paul Gaultier represented the perfectly laid back, downtown chic it-girl thanks to makeup artist Lloyd Simmonds. Barely there makeup and effortless hair complimented the leather-clad, rocker ensembles.

The feminine, understated looks seen at Chloe are compliments of Diane Kendal for MAC. Faces were left nearly bare and lids were neutral with the slightest hint of gloss. Hair was also simple, straight and gorgeously thick.

Tom Pecheux for MAC is the mastermind behind this rich yet wearable Maiyet look. He washed the entire lid with MAC Eyeshadows in Golden Goddess and Platinum Love then placed gold pigment on the inner and outer corners for extra drama.

The “brocaded gold brows” at Dior glittered as bright as 14k gold! Makeup extraordinaire Pat McGrath took metallics to the next level, covering models’ brows in glue which she then topped with gold pigment and glitter. You can always count on Dior for high fashion!

Stephane Marais combined punk edge and girly glamour at Haider Ackermann. Heavy black winged liner was topped with chunky black glitter for bold, “look at me” cat-eyes.

The makeup at Givenchy had everyone talking at Paris Fashion Week! 12 hours of work went into Pat McGrath‘s crystal and sequin masks. But it was well worth the hours — the looks outshone even the front-row lineup of major stars and fashionistas!

It is officially red carpet season! And you know what that means: celebs in gorgeous makeup, amazing hairstyles and a bevy of gorgeous gowns for us to lust after. We especially love the VMAs for the edgy vibe of the evening. Check out our top three picks for Best Dressed and Best Beauty of the night!

Best Dressed: Ciara

Ciara nearly took our breath away in this Givenchy gown. Strategically placed nude panels, loads of gorgeous embroidery and subtle feathers gave us lots to look at! All in all, Ciara pulled off the ensemble.

Naya Rivera

Naya Rivera showed off her amazing figure in a form-fitting black gown with side cutout. The Glee star managed to look sexy, edgy and sophisticated all at the same time!

Melanie Iglesias

Although she may be a newcomer to the limelight, Melanie of MTV show Girl Code looks like she was born to walk the red carpet! The amethyst color of her gown complemented her warm, auburn hair color perfectly and she wasn’t shy with that (J.LO circa 2000-esque) plunging neckline!

Best Beauty: Taylor Swift

beauty TSWIFT

Taylor Swift turned up the dial in the glamour department. Her faux bob was styled in Marilyn Monroe-inspired curls that were one part retro, one part polished and 100% glam. To keep it modern, T-Swift went with edgy dark liner and a touch of silver shadow to make her eyes pop.

Jennifer Hudson

beauty jhud

If anyone glowed on the red carpet, it was Jennifer Hudson. She played up the almond shape of her eyes with a smokey cat eye with a hint of blue liner on the lower lash line and long, flirty lashes. Expert contouring and a glossy nude lip topped off her look.

Selena Gomez

beauty SGOMEZ

Selena not only won the award last night for Best Pop Video, but she also wins for one of the best beauty looks. With a creamy berry lip and sleek, glossy locks, her look was sophisticated and on point!
