At Monique Lhuillier, warm vibrant colors ruled the runway! Inspired by “sheer elegance”, the collection is a modern take on evening wear. It was all in the details as gorgeous texture, intricate embellishment, splashes of tangerine and pops of fuchsia created looks that exuded effortless glamour.
Inspired by both Spanish and Mexican cultures, Naeem Khan definitely channeled spicy flamenco dancers to Frida Kahlo in his new Spring 2014 Collection! Through his off-the-shoulder peasant blouses, boldly colored prints and hand-sewn embroidery, the Latin flair is obvious! Naeem Khan’s collection was definitely muy caliente.
Opposites attracted at Rebecca Taylor’s Spring 2014 collection! The usual Rebecca Taylor femininity was accompanied this season with a badass attitude. Leathers,moto-inspired construction and boyfriend blazers were paired with girly floral prints and sheer fabrics.
Reem Acra brought the party at NYFW…the disco party that is. Every eye-catching look incorporated metallics, sexy cutouts, sheer fabric or all of the above! The result? Reem Acra gave us Saturday night fever, and we’re loving it!
White nails were one of the major manicure trends spotted on the runway. From designers such as Prabal Gurung to Tibi and Kate Spade and many in between, pale nails left their mark. The HONOR manicure is almost nude polish, “La Vie en Rose” by Deborah Lippmann and six rhinestones in a pyramid shape at the base of the nail. Cushnie et Ochs models rocked long and sharply pointed Rihanna-inspired nails made unique with silver Nail Veil nail rings in the center of all ten nails.
Moon manicures were the second NYFW nail trend sure to soon be seen on every fashionista’s pretty fingers. We saw everything from the moon shape on the tips of the nails (Alice+Olivia) to the base, in bold colors like at Desigual or soft neutrals at Jenni Kayne. No matter how you do it, you can’t go wrong with the moon trend.
